Privacy Policy

Pivot Technology, operating as Pivot Tech ("Pivot," "we," or "us"), uses personal information to respond to inquiries and arrange equipment rentals. This policy describes information collected through our website and rental communications.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect the information you submit: name, company, email, phone number, company address, inquiry reason and message. Rental inquiries may also include equipment selections, dates, and delivery and pickup details. We may record a broad source such as Google, LinkedIn, referral, or direct to understand which channels generate inquiries; we do not retain the full referring URL for this purpose. We record the policy version you acknowledge, the time of the request, and its reference number. Our hosting systems may process IP addresses and technical request information for delivery, security, and abuse prevention.
Do not put payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, or sensitive customer records into the contact form. This website does not collect card details or take rental payments. If separate verification or payment is needed, we will provide the appropriate process.
How we use information
- Respond to questions and prepare quotes.
- Coordinate equipment, delivery, pickup, return, and customer support.
- Keep transaction and agreement records and resolve billing, damage, or return issues.
- Prevent misuse, protect our equipment and systems, and meet legal obligations.
We do not treat an inquiry as permission to enroll you in unrelated promotional campaigns.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers that host our website, store inquiry records, deliver business communications, or help fulfill an agreed rental. We limit disclosures to what is reasonably needed for the task. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, resolve claims, or in a business transfer subject to applicable protections. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
The rental builder uses browser session storage to remember equipment quantities, dates, and a broad lead-source category as you move between pages. Contact details and messages are not saved in that browser storage. This site does not include advertising pixels or third-party behavioral analytics. Your browser may allow you to clear or block storage; doing so can reset your rental selections. We do not use a Do Not Track signal to change processing because the site does not perform cross-site behavioral tracking. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for inquiries, rental administration, accounting, disputes, security, and applicable legal requirements. Inquiries that do not lead to a rental are scheduled for deletion after 12 months unless needed for an active issue or legal obligation. Rental, accounting, and claim records follow the retention requirements applicable to those records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted access to inquiry records. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your requests and choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information by using our contact form and selecting Privacy request, or by writing to the address below. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain processing, or appeal a decision. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally permitted or required. We will respond within applicable legal time limits. To appeal our response, use the same contact method and identify your request as a privacy appeal. You may also contact your state attorney general.
Children and external services
Our rental service is intended for adults and business representatives. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us to request removal. Websites, software, and services provided by Apple or other third parties follow their own policies.
Data on rented equipment
You are responsible for backing up your data and signing out of accounts before return. Do not use rented devices as your sole storage location. We reset returned devices before assigning them to another customer. Service technicians may encounter data during authorized support, inspection, or resetting; do not leave sensitive material on returned equipment. See the Rental Agreement for account-lock and return responsibilities.
